The Shiite sect of Islam, on a certain day called Ashoura on the Islamic Calender, celebrate the day the grandson of the prophet Mohammed was killed. Some do so by cutting themselves in the head and making the blood flow all over thier body to commomerate the day. This picture was taken in the Lebanese Bekaa in the mainly Shiite city of Nabatieh.
